What Ofsted registration means for your family
In England, nannies can choose to register on the voluntary part of Ofsted’s Childcare Register. Registration confirms a nanny meets specific safeguarding, training and suitability standards.
We can introduce you to Ofsted-registered nannies on request, and support our nannies through the registration process.
- Tax-Free Childcare: Families can use the government's Tax-Free Childcare scheme to pay an Ofsted-registered nanny.
- Childcare vouchers: Where applicable, vouchers can also be used towards an Ofsted-registered nanny's wages.
- Recognised standards: Confirms the nanny meets Ofsted's safeguarding and training requirements.
Payroll & HMRC
Becoming a nanny employer, made simple
In most cases, families employing a nanny directly become that nanny’s legal employer. This is unfamiliar territory for many parents — so we make sure you have the right support from day one.
LNS Nannies aligns with Nannytax, the UK’s most established nanny payroll specialists, to support you with the practical responsibilities that come with employing a nanny.
Nannytax can help with
- PAYE payroll setup
- Tax calculations & deductions
- Pension administration
- Employer obligations
